About the Authors
CN James’ short story “The Dark Room” won honorable mention in the 78th Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition for genre short story. With a Master’s Degree in English Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (Jazz Guitar), CN James (Christian J. Triola) is the co-founder of the Indie Writer’s Network, an international community of independent writers; teaches college writing; and he has offered private guitar instruction for nearly 20 years. He enjoys jazz, alternative rock, watching 80’s cartoons, hiking and biking the national parks with his wife, and experiencing stories with monsters in them.
Heralded “a sweet love story” by Publisher’s Weekly, Amy Joy’s debut novel, THE ACADEMIE, became an Amazon bestseller within months of its release. A professor of writing since 2005, Amy Joy is also the co-founder of The Indie Writer’s Network, a social network and community blogging platform for professional and aspiring writers. She has four degrees under her belt (two bachelor’s and two Masters) and while she doesn’t have plans for more formal training any time soon, she can often be found with a stack of library books of a variety of genres close by.
